The Glorious Past (According to Gérard)
Gérard insists, with a twinkle in his eye and a healthy dose of pastis-induced bravado, that Glorbon-7 was on the brink of utter annihilation. Apparently, they had a real problem with giant, sentient, broccoli monsters. Yes, you read that right. Broccoli. Monsters. I swear, sometimes I think he makes it up. But the man has a sword hanging above his fireplace, so who am I to judge?
He recounts epic battles, wielding a mystical baguette (naturally) against the leafy menace. He speaks of a princess with hair made of spun gold (probably just heavily highlighted, if you ask me). And don't even get me started on the talking ferret sidekick. Look, everyone's a critic until they're facing down a giant floret, right?

He bought a small house in the countryside, started growing tomatoes (ironically), and now spends his days complaining about the price of Camembert and the noise of the neighbors’ chickens.
He occasionally pulls out his Hero of Glorbon-7 t-shirt (which, let’s be honest, is looking a little worse for wear these days) and regales anyone who will listen with tales of his past glory. Mostly, though, he just wants to be left alone with his newspaper and a glass of rouge.

Does he still have superpowers? Depends on who you ask. Gérard claims he can still communicate with squirrels (useful for predicting the weather, he says). He also insists he can sense when a perfectly ripe melon is within a five-mile radius. And he's surprisingly good at getting the last croissant from the bakery. Coincidence? I think not! Honestly, he's just a regular guy now. A bit eccentric, perhaps, and prone to exaggeration. But underneath the slightly-too-tight jeans and the questionable fashion sense, you can still see a glimmer of the hero he once was.
